eentje naar ieders smaak en kleur :-)

Ethiopische geluksbrenger

en nog een bestellingske,

hier hangt een ontroerend verhaal aan vast,
maar dat ga ik hier nu niet te grabbel gooien, :-)
het heeft iets met Ethiopië te maken en met een adoptie....

dit (amulet) halssnoer is gemaakt
met een mooie Ethiopische Zilveren kraal
en grote (Fair Trade) gerecycleerde papieren kralen
uit Ghana,
het knopenbloemetje (hier als sluiting gebruikt) is gekerfd in kokosnoot en van Indonesische makelij!

Ik hoop écht dat dit halssnoer
een geluksbrenger wordt voor de drager!

And another custom order:
this time one with a touching story,
I am sorry but I have to respect the privacy of the person who got it,
so I can't tell you,
but it has something to do with Ethiopia and an adoption.

I made an amulet necklace
with an Ethiopean handmade silver bead and two Fair Trade recycled paperbeads from Ghana,
it closes with a flower button from Indonesian handcrafted origin.

I so hope this necklace will bring lots of luck an happiness to the wearer!

Inspired by Frida Kahlo

een ongelukje met de wagen
gooide gisteren heel mijn planning in de war,
van de nood een deugd gemaakt
en heel wat bestellingen afgewerkt,
maar ook een mooie reeks nieuwe Frida halssnoeren,
(de Vitrine en HandmadeinBelgium komen eraan,
mijn stock moet dus aangevuld!)

My Japanese garden

de tijd is weer daar:
de eerste Japanse Bloesems
steken de kop op!

en ik haal mijn schaartje boven
en leef me uit met
prachtig Japans washi papier :-)

en dat is nu net het leuke
aan Fleurfatale:
in mijn juweeltjes kan ik
heel veel van mijn passies kwijt:

mijn knopenverzamelwoede
mijn liefde voor papier
mijn passie voor kleur
mijn grafische kunsten
mijn fotografisch oog :-)

mijn Poolse poetsvrouw daarnet ... :-)

een geluk dat zij de kuis komt doen,
dan heb ik meer tijd
om dat hoofd van mij
leeg te maken ;-)


heel veel nieuwe juweeltjes dus
gemaakt met Japans Washipapier (een traditionale Japanse papiermaaktechniek), zilver en hars

and I take my scissors
to cut
little pieces of Japanese washi paper
for my Japanese garden collection!

that is what I like so much
about my Fleurfatale shop

it combines so much of my passions:
my love for paper
my love for colors
my addiction for buttons
my photographic eye
my graphic background!

The cleaning lady just asked me:
is this all in your head ? ;-)

I am glad
she is there
to clean the house
while I am busy emptying this head of mine ;-)

gisteren een beetje gemixed en gemachted met vintage knopen
wat hou ik van die kleinoodjes, hun vorm, kleur, materiaal,
ik krijg er maar niet genoeg van!

het resultaat: mijn button rings

maar binnenkort ook een hele collectie op 22 mei op de Vitrine in Brugge en op 10 april bij MadeinBelgium in Hasselt!

I am in love with their colors, their forms, textures, materials,
I just can't get enough of them!
