after drawing the images I cut it out (quite a work!) and combine it with (vintage) fabric, cardstock and other findings.

Polkadot Fever

Ik weet niet meer wanneer het begon,

het was nog voor Meron begon met Flamenco dansen (en dus de nodige schoentjes en jurk moest aanschaffen).

De bolletjes-rage: overal waar we kwamen en er werd een rood-met-witte-bolletjes-ding gespot, werden de oren van mijn hoofd gezaagd;-(
Nu is ons huis er vol van:

- Polkadot kindertheeserviesje

- polkadot balpennen

- Polkadot pennezak

- oma's zelgemaakte Polkadot rok (voor elke zus eentje)

- Polkadot-jurk

- polkadot sjaal

- polkadot pop

- polkadot haarband

- polkadot kaftpapier

- ....

Alleen kleine broer heeft de polkadot koorts nog niet tepakken.

I can't remember when it began: the Polkadot-fever.

It was long before Meron took courses flamenco and needed a polkadot dress and shoes.

Everywhere we came and the girls spotted a polkadot-thing, my purse wasn't safe anymore;-)Nowadays, the house is full of Polkadots:

- Polkadot balpoint

- Polkadot tea set

- Polkadot scarf

- Polkadot puppet

- polkadot wrapping paper,

...

only little brother escaped that polkadot fever, he's into superman;-p

The teapot in the first picture is a creation of me and my daughter Maia.

Polka dot is a pattern consisting of dots. Polka dot patterns are quite variable: they range from a series of dots that are equally spaced and sized to a random arrangement of multicoloured dots of different sizes. Polka dots are most commonly seen on children's clothing, toys, and furniture, but they appear in a wide array of contexts. The pattern rarely appears in formal contexts, however, and is generally confined to more playful attire such as bathing suits. Occasionally white on black regularly spaced polka dots appear on more formal clothing.
While polka dots are ancient, they first became common on clothing in the late nineteenth century in Britain. At the same time polka music was extremely popular and the name was also applied to the pattern, despite no real connection between them.

Nieuw in mijn shop (althans, eentje is al ribbedebie)

Ik vindt koper een heel mooi metaal om mee te werken en om kralen en hamlfedelstenen mee te combineren, koper is een lichtbruin metaal dat zwart en daarna roze wordt als het uitgloeit.

Overschotjes liefde

nog een restje moederdag:

Zij kijkt glimlachend

naar de restjes fruitsap in de glazen

en de stukjes boterham met jam

overschotjes liefde.

Dan veegt ze met haar hand

eenhoekje schoon

voor een boek
en reist tussen de keukenmuren.

Geluk is soms

wat kruimels op de vloer.

Mothers day

Moederdag is intussen voorbij, gedaan dus met lekker lang uitslapen en ontbijt op bed, maar de leuke geschenkjes die ik kreeg prijken op mijn kast!

Met 4 creatieve kids en een nieuwe man in huis word je natuurlijk overstelpt met knuffels en cadeautjes!

Mother's Day is over, finished with sleaping till noon and breakfast in the bedroom.

But with 4 creative kids and a supporting husband in the house, you get of course a lot of hugs and presents!!
