Look what hubby brought from Kopenhagen: a very yummie cheese, I wish he brought more of this, maybe one of the Danish girls of the EST knows what kind of Cheese it is?

He brought also some strange chocolate balls, they look yummie , but I am afraid no one here in the house likes it, he will have to eat them himsel :-))

Hubby went to Ebeltoft in Denmark to start a project (in collaboration with University Ghent)with Cheetahs. Ah well, if I had known before.... I thought Cheetahs were apes! (stupid me), hubby says a lot of people do that , it's Tarzan who brought the confusion by giving his ape the name 'cheetah' :-))

Wednesday is our day :-)))

Op woensdagnamiddag moet ik altijd een oogje dichtknijpen... Als er niet geknutseld of gespeeld wordt,dan wordt er gekokkereld. En vandaag was het zowat alles tegelijk: grote zus bakte een yummie appel frambozentaart en kleine broer experimenteerde met verf, terwijl kleine zus een legohuisje bouwde en mama grote zus op één na, naar een vriendinnetje bracht om samen te spelen. Daarbij komt dat de poetsvrouw verstek gaf deze week, dus je kunt je de rommel wel voorstellen ten huize Janssens.

As every week: a busy wednesday afternoon: Maia baked a yummie apple-raspberrie pie, while little brother experimented with blue paint, little sis Mies build a house with Lego, and Meron was out playing with a friend. The cleaning lady is ill these week, so you can imagine the mess here in the house, ...........oh, no,... you can't :-))

But we enjoyed the pie and that is the most important!

recipe for apple raspberry pie

- 120 gr butter

- 100 gr sugar

- 3 eggs

- two handfull of frozen raspberries

- 3 apples

- a spoon of baking powder

- ready made puff-pastry

Melt the butter and mix with the sugar , the eggs and the baking powder..

Put the ready made puff pastry in a baking tin and prebake it in an oven of 150 degrees for 10 minutes. Cut the apples in slices and put them on the prebaked pastry. Straw the frozen raspberries over the apples and pour the butter-sugar-eggs mixture over it.

and put it in an oven of 180 degrees for half an hour.

simple and so very yummie!

The last few days I was in a lilac mood, don't know why but I made some creations with shades of yellow and lilac, maybe it's that little bit sping that was in the air.
Well, that's over now, sun is gone and it's snowing outside, still winter.

Lilac is a color that is a pale shade of violet. It might also be described as light purple. The actual color of the lilac flower or Syringa is a much deeper color.
I found a lot of names for the shades of Lilac, very interesting for tagging!
Here we go: Amethyst, Eggplant, Fuchsia, Han purple, Heliotrope, Indigo, Lavender (floral), Lavender, Lilac Mauve, Periwinkle, Persian indigo, Purple, Thistle, Violet, Wisteria

Het wordt een beetje kalmer in mijn shop, geen nood, nu komt er tijd vrij voor nieuwe experimenten (met vilt bijvoorbeeld) en een op til staande voorjaarsverkoop, maar ook voor andere zaken.

Mijn lopen stond de laatste tijd op een lager pitje, (door smog en vrieskou ), maar nu af en toe al eens de lente komt piepen, ga ik er weer voor: vanaf volgende week trek ik drie maal per week mijn loopschoenen aan, en ik haal mijn Ipod terug boven, want niets is leuker dan lopen op je favoriete muziek!

Ik vond ook dit boek in de Bib, ik heb eigenlijk nog nooit een boek over lopen gelezen, blijkbaar heb ik spontaan altijd de juiste dingen gedaan, wantik had ook nooit een blessure. Maar misschien moet ik maar eens een trainingsschema volgen, om in Mei (op de 10 km van Gent) een betere tijd te lopen, enfin we zien wel, 't moet plezant blijven hé!

It's a bit calmer in my shop now, but no worries, that makes I have finally time for other things, like experimenting with felt and organizing a spring-homesale. But one of the things I do want to do more is running. Because of smog and cold winter I only ran once a week. But now the days are getting longer and spring is in the air I want to run three times a week! I want to attend the 10km run of Ghent like last year. I even lend a book about running at the library :-)

Well, we'll see, the most important is that I enjoy it!
