How to store your jewelry!

Something I have been struggling with for a long time is the storage of my own jewelry, I put it here and there and in the end, when I am looking for that piece to fit with that outfit, I don't know where I have left it.
Browsing Etsy and the internet I stumbled on some great jewelry storage ideas. Here are some cool ideas for your own bed or bathroom or maybe also for your booth when you attend a show or fair.

So go ahead and be creative with a branch from you own gardentree, frames you buy in Ikea , wood from old barns, thriftwood, vintage porcelain teacups , saucers and chandeliers, or go shopping in some of the cool Etsy shops mentioned here below!

My pebbles and wood collection

On holiday in France I made lots of felted pebbles, while the kids where playing in the swimming pool, I enjoyed playing with the water and olive soap and rolling and pushing the wool roving to little pebbles.
Back home I dived into my bead treasuries and tried to make nice mixes of colors and materials.
I have the feeling these necklaces are a perfect winter accessory, because of the using of felted wool.
These are some of the necklaces I made; they are well liked as some of them are already sold!
I must say it's hard to part with them, cause I like them all, they are so very me!

I am nearly out of stock of the pebbles (made in France), but some new wool roving lays already waiting...
Maybe a relaxing job to do while sitting in my little garden and enjoying the very last summer sunrays!

Click on the pictures to go to my shop! They will all be listed soon!

My friday eve outfit

Mims Nap Sack/Shoulder Bag by Mimsmaine 89$
Verdigris cup ring by Mkaae

Hubby and I decided to hire a babysit at least one friday evening in the month,
Just to have some for the two of us!
Our Saturday is stuffed with driving the kids from one activity to the other: gym, music classes, Flamenco, clip dance... and sunday is mostly a lazy family day.
With 4 kids you have to watch out over your own free time, otherwise it goes up in all sorts of activites with the kids...
So why not reserve one friday eve in the month, just for the two of us: a dinner in a cool restaurant, a movie, concert or a theatre play.
It's not that we didn't do that, but why not make it a regular thingie?
And A friday night out claims a gorgeous outfit!

That's why I came up with the idea to make this 'Friday eve outfit'.
One of my jewels combined with some beautiful designs from other artists.

I Love this job!

I love the colorshades Nathalie Engels uses in her new Fall collection!

And what makes me very happy is that she asked me again to design a collection of new accessories to go with her clothes! (I feel really honoured!)
I can't show you yet, but soon I will post the finished pieces!
As all the pieces are unique, they will only be available at her shop in Gent. Take a peep at her website to see what a talented lady she is!

Back to work!

The kids are off to school, ready for a fresh start!
And so am I!
It was about time, I just couldn't concentrate anymore with all those kids around, (not only the four of mine, but always some friends of them around, so really a bunch of kids!)
Finished with long sleeping, staying in pijamas till 12'oclock and having breakfast at noon.
Structure is back in our life, yeah!

I am not used to all this free 'me' time anymore!
Maybe I'll start with a little to do list to refresh my mind :-)
- sending out packages
- working on a new collection for Nathalie
- finishing a custom order
- listing lots of new stuff in my shop
- editing pictures
- cleaning my workroom
- grocery shopping (as the fridge looked very empty this morning)
-...

And these are some of my new designs, soon in my shop!

1000!

1000 Sales!!

The goodie bags wooshed out of my shop, I'll ship them on monday and two lucky ones will find the gift certificate of 20 $ in their package!

I joined Etsy in April 2008 and since then things have gone sooo fast!
I met so much creative people that became my online friends. I am so grateful to all my Etsy friends who are helping to promote my shop and who give me advice and feedback! What would I be without them?
And what would I be without my lovely customers?
I am happy with every single sale I had and so thankful for this great support!

Right now I am working on new designs, for my Textile Jewelry Collection, but also some other accessories for autumn and winter!
