This last week I have been playing games like never before!
Not the computer ones, but the good old board games like memory and 'ganzespel'.
My youngest (the boy) is really into it, he wants to play it all over and over,
oh my!
I am glad school begins tomorrow, first thing I will do on monday morning is have a run (I must loose the extra weight I got with eating all those yummie things these days). Yesterday My kids asked to bake Belgian Waffles, hm, with a hot cuppa chocolate :-)

It seems that lately I am using up my stock of etnic beads, maybe because I am hoping on a new bunch of beads and stones from Ethiopia?
Yay! one more night to sleep and hubby and Meron ar back home, the kids want to celebrate that with French fries on monday eve.... (hm, I really need that run tomorrow!)

African Touch 2

Again an early morning...
well then, a bit time to blog!
I made pictures of more of my African Inspired bold necklaces!
I enjoy felting and using felt these days, I really think wool is a wintery thing!
I decided to give this collection the name: 'African Touch'. I do think they have something African, not only the use of the Ethiopean silver or resin, but also the distressed wooden beads, the repurposed fabric beads and the assembling of diferrent materials feels African to me!
Find them here in my shop.
Will try to do some experiment with fused plastic too, but that is for later!

AS I mentioned here before (or was it on Twitter), my daughters (and a friend) did a lot of cooking these holidays!,
I guess you don't want to see the mess afterwards :-)))

Two nights to sleep and hubby and Meron are back (that is what I keep telling the little ones, it s really time daddy comes home!)

you can find more Friday Night Outfits here.

Not going anywhere this evening.
I guess me and the three kids will make it cosy tonight. Watching a series togheter and me doing some crochet meanwhile (it's time I start with the hat for Mies, remember the lovely yarn I bought!)
On Fridays the kids get some chips and lemonade. (and mummy a glass of wine and some tapas) As we don't have those things the rest of the week, this is always like a little party for the kids.

Today our babysit is coming and heading to the swimmingpool with my little ones, so I hope to finish my bold African necklaces and post the pictures of the result here soon! (Need to find a collection name for them, because I have ideas to make a bunch of them)
And the postman brought me a very sweet and lovely package today, but that's for another blogpost!

Touch of Africa

The last few days were dark! A lot of rain and no much light!
But this morning I woke up because of some rays of sun peeping through the curtains, Yay! Really makes my mood a lot better!

Kids have holiday now and the eldest is experimenting with cooking. Well it results in a very messed up kitchen, but it's worth it! Yesterday she made oven potatoes, not only looks yummie, also tastes delicious!

I managed to take some pics today of unfinished necklaces,
African Inspired (what else, my thoughts are with hubby and Meron in Ethiopea:-))
These necklaces are so very me: a mix of materials,
- some of African origin (Ethiopean silver and resin)
- a natural touch (handmade merino felted wool pebbles)
- Fair trade Vietnamese silk
- a repurposed (vintage) touch: vintage buttons and African Trade beads.
I already took some pics of the necklaces but I have to finish them now with a nice vintage button to make a closure.

hm, I am sure African women would wear them in a bunch around there neck;-)
But I am convinced, with wearing only one you can make a real statement too :-)

- Gift Certificates in my shop - Cadeaubonnen

Don't know what happened, maybe a bug in the Mr Linky Wizard, all the comments on my previous post disappeared! Sorry for this!

With the upcoming Feasts (Christmas and New Year) I want to introduce my Gift Certificates. they are here in my shop right now.

♥ How does the Gift certificate work?
After you have purchased and paid the certificate,
a gift certificate with special certificate code will be emailed to you.
You can print it or send it by e-mail to the one you want to surprise!

♥ How to use the gift certificate?
1) The recipient should add their chosen item(s) from my shop to their shopping cart.
2) The recipient should choose "other" payment option at checkout.
3) The recipient must include the special certificate code in the "Message to the seller" box.
4) If the value of the recipients purchase is over the gift certificate value (including shipping costs) I will send an invoice to the recipients e-mail address for the additional amount.
5) If the value of the recipients purchase is below the gift certificate value (including shipping costs) the balance will be maintained for a future purchase.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like to have another value, I will create a new one for you.
