Monday Moodboard

Nuno felted scarf Winter time by Jezek

I enjoy the silence and rest on mondays.
Weekends at ours are always busy and noisy, lots of errands to run and driving kids from here to there. family days are fun but mondays are always a relief....

This monday morning I packed the kids and myself in with lots of scarves, woolen mittens and hats, and off we were, biking to school. The snow is almost gone from te streets so it's safe again to drive!
So what else then a 'warm packed' Monday moodboard!

I hope you enjoyed the weekend and are ready for a good start of the week!

Shop Update

Brand new japanese Winter garden earrings are in my shop!
If you want to read more about the creation of them, look here.
and here.

Have you seen the card I designed to go with this jewelry line?
remember the butterflies.
And do take a peep at Karuski's blog, :-)

what the postman brought me...

I love shopping handmade, and during the Christmas sale rush, I spoiled myself a bit with some pretty things that were already some time on my wishlist.
I love the work of Amsterdam based Designer Leililaloo,I simply adore the way she combines her illustration talent and her knitting skills. Her world of Polkadots, flowers, teapots, colors, houses, stools,... brings me in a happy moody! (find her blog here.)
Look what I bought!
In fact this is a necklace, I love the illustration, the long legs and the red pumps! I use it now to decorate, but I know one day I'll wear it on a lovely sexy dress , watch me!

And sweet Dana added again a nice surprise: A handprinted, fabric brooch: I am very happy with it, although my face does not show that on te picture :-))

if you want to know what I got from Dana somet ime ago, read here.

My creative space today

Look at these little treasures,
new Chinese turquoise,
beautiful vintage buttons (I love the mustard color!)
pretty brass cabochons
antiqued golden filigree beads

I enjoyed bringing them together in this moodboard or still life,
(what a stunning colorcombo: turquoise and mustard, isn' it?)
but soon they will be used in new creations :-)

Do you remember that I love putting my scissors into vintage handbags, to cut little flowers out of it?
I found this leather bag a while ago at the thrift shop (only 1 Euro) , It's a gorgeous blue,
but back home I could not tear it apart into pieces, in fact it's perfect to use as it is!

So I decided to cut some leftovers of leather and tried these new forms of petals!

These below are already in my shop:

Want to show your creative space? Hop over to Kootoyoo's to play! It's fun! :)

What the postman brought me

I've been busy all day with lots of new things!
As you may know, I am following Silversmith classes since september.
It's not always easy to drive half an hour each monday evening to my classes, but I am so motivated and I like it so much that I don't mind the distance.
I bought my own torch yesterday and I've been practising a lot! Tis opens so many new ways for me! First some tries with copper... and then I finished a pair of silver earrings I am very excited about! They need to be sanded now and polished and then I'll take pics (iff the weather allows it) tomorrow.
Keep an eye here, I will post my new handsoldered earrings soon!

The past weeks the postman had so much suprises for me, some of them unexpected :-) I will show them all one by one, the following weeks. Be sure to take a peep from time to time :-)

This is a package I got from my sweet creative friend Veerle (Nevousinstallezpas)! I really have to show you the beautiful packaging too: a delight to get a present in such a sweet package!

In the package was one of her 'Lariats' a silk crocheted bead combined with an ethiopean silver bead and african trade beads. Beautiful!
thanks so much dear Veerle! A toast on our creative and inspiring friendship
