My creative workspace

My thursday has been filled
with
lots of stuff
too pity
it was nothing creative....
well,
only urgent necessary things...

meeting with the teachers and therapists of Mies
lots of boring paperwork
making packages
answering mails

luckily I had a break and lunched with mr Hubby :-)

today, I show you
a glimpse
of some things
that lay waiting to be finished

I hope tomorrow comes soon!

Fair Trade Tuesday

Had je het al gemerkt?
T'is internationale week van de Fairtrade!
tijd dus

Did you notice?
It's fair trade week!
So it's time for sometips from Fair Trade land!
We can only support organisations who build up Trade projects in the South, helping to improve the lives of people there. Fair trade means that craftsmen, craftswomen, and artisans involved in creating the beads were not exploited in the process of bringing these beads to you. They are paid the amount they deserve.
So just making the effort to buy Fair Trade, no matter how small, when combined with the efforts of others, this can make a difference.

Below I gathered some Fair trade shops who sell Fair Trade beads
But please, if you may know any other Fair Trade bead shop, please share it in the comments!

- Recycled Paper beads:

beadforlife
is a community development project where Ugandan women make paper beads. You can buy jewelry, but you can also buy loose beads.
Injabulo

- recycled glass beads

eShopAfrica sells various sizes, shapes, and colors of recycled glass beads. eShopAfrica belongs to the Fair Trade Federation. Cool thing: you can see the process the artisans use to make the beads.

EcoButterfly Organics sells also recycled glass beads. They belong to the Organic Trade Association and Co-Op America, and their website stresses their commitment to fair.
