Vorige lente
kocht ik deze knopen
van een dame
die naar het Zuiden immigreerde
en daarom een deel van haar verzamelde schatten
versjacherde.
Zijzelf kocht de knopen ooit
van een failliete Duitse knopenfabriek.

Ze vertelde
dat dit eigenlijk een soort prototypes voor knopen waren,
allemaal in hetzelfde witte materiaal
(enkele in rood)
ze werden bewaard in een grote doos vol kalkpoeder
sommigen hebben nog geen gaatjes
en die met gaatjes
hebben nog wat défautjes,

zalige unieke exemplaartjes dus!

meer weet ik er niet van
en ook google kan me niet meer vertellen :-(

Last spring,
I got these buttons
from a lady
who bought them herself
from an old German button factory.
These white buttons or sort of prototypes,
some without holes others still with some faults
I have no idea what the material is,
the buttons were kept
in a box filled with chalkpowder.

all unique pieces!

does anyone knows more about it?

honey&blue

twee kleurtjes
die verliefd zijn op mekaar
die kunnen niet lang
op de werktafel
blijven liggen
...
mixen en matchen
die handel!

en de Fleurfatale shop
wordt aangevuld
met een aantal
schattige oorknopjes
(gewoon op de foto's klikken om naar de shop te gaan)

gerecupereerde knopen

mustard , honey, butter...
geef toe
het klinkt lekker
en het is ook een heerlijke kleur

én ze combineert
heel mooi met donker turquoise
(en zoals ik hier al zei, daar heb ik heel wat van in huis!)
oude knopen bijvoorbeeld:

en mits wat assemblage
toveren we de knopen om
tot een mooi handsieraad ;-)
én ze staan al in de shop!

I found out (read it here)
that this beautiful golden color matches perfect
with turquoise and steel blue,
so I assembled some flowers with old buttons to new button rings!

wie hier al langer
eens komt piepen
weet
dat ik
een verzamelaar ben
van oude knoopjes,

al een tijdje
verwerk ik miijn obsessie voor knoopjes
in mijn button rings en oorknopjes
kijk maar hier en hier en hier en hier en ja hier ook

en eerlijk,
het doet soms echt zeer
om afstand te doen
van unieke exemplaartjes...

malletjes en porseleinklei
bleken de oplosssing
voor dit euvel


het resultaat:
schattige porseleinen oorbelletjes
van oude knoopjes,


en geen blinkend laagje vernis
want ik vind ze op z'n mooist
in mat wit!

Een tijdje geleden
vond ik een schat aan oude knoopjes
opeen marktje in Gent
echt waanzinnig mooie kleinoodjes
in een schattig vintage speldendoosje
en aangezien
mijn naaikunsten
te wensen overlaten
verwerkte ik ze tot oorknopjes...
voor u :-)

I found this cute vintage box
filled with beautiful little vintage buttons
on a flea market
lately.
Unfortunately I am not good in sewing
so I used these
little sweeties
for making earstuds :-)
