ik kan nog altijd
een inhaalmaneuver doen!






dit keer de 'verloren was ' techniek'
ik heb hem 'Fungi' gedoopt,
hij heeft iets
van een teer paddestoelhoedje
op een dun steeltje

aan een testbeurt ondeworpen
lijkt de ring toch wel vrij stevig

wat denk je?

Ring-a-week 52/6 and 52/7

Eindelijk nog eens een ring-a-week!

Ik ging verder met het stileren van vormen van bloemen en blaadjes, en zaagde twee vormpjes uit in zilverplaat.

toch ook wel
een klus
om de juiste vorm uit te zagen
en alles mooi en fijn gevijld te krijgen, een goede oefening dus!

direct twee nieuwe ringen als resultaat
(zo haal ik mijn ring-a-week achterstand al wat in!)

Finally a ring a week again!

I took some flowerforms of my flower and leaves studies and saw them out of silverplate,
these two rings are the result:
i like the simplicity of them!

I must say, it is a good exercice for my sawing and filing!

RAW Ring -A-Week 4

Mijn RAW ontwerp vorige week schoot erbij in
ik was te druk bezig met het verzorgen van zieke kindjes ;-)

deze ring is
nog niet helemaal af
op het japans papier moet nog een laagje hars,
maar da's voor morgen :-)

hm
een hangertje in hetzelfde design
zou ook niet misstaan....

wat denk je?

one
last week
but i can't blame myself
(I was busy caring for my sick kids)
but here is another Ring-a-week

this time
I made a bezel ring
for a little piece of Japanese Paper
I stil have to add the resin
to make it water resistant,
but I wanted to show the pictures today
I'll show you the resined piece a bit later.

This design would look nice as a pendant too,
don't you think?

Flowers for spring!

een tijdje geleden
bestelde
een bloglezeres
een ring in leatherscraps,
(het was geleden van vorig voorjaar
dat ik er nog één maakte,
deze winter heb ik me op de broches gestort!)

kort daarna
nog een bestellingske
en
ja
eens ik op dreef ben,....
ik heb er meteen een aantal geknipt
in frisse felle
lente en zomerkleurtjes,
nu hier in mijn shop!
It was a while ago
I made some leather scrap blossom rings,
(i think from spring last year!)
but a few weeks ago

a blogreader ordered one
and I refound the joy
of cutting leather scraps
and assembling
the pieces colorfull leather
into flowers

the flower rings are here in my shop right now

A while ago
I found this
great tutorial
on the blog
of an EST friend.

A brilliant idea to display
the button rings I made
lately!


I used:
- some cheap isolation tubes
(the smallest ones)
- a shelf from the ikea molger series
I once bought to hang in the bathroom, but now it's destiny changed (lol!)
- an old white blanket

I know...
I should have ironed
the blanket parts
but well
I am not a good housewife I guess , LOL!
