Work in progress.....
mmm, this should be work in process...
Well, I already matched together the colors, (maybe one of the most fun parts of the job!!) But I am afraid I will not have the time this week to finish these necklaces to be.... I am busy preparing for the Fair in Bruges: Marché Bricolé.

Monday Moodboard misty
Just came back from bringing kids to school. We had the chance to go by bike almost every day in September! Today was the first misty day, you know, when you bike, then your hair gets wet and there is no rain!
This foggy morning inspired me for this white list of beauties of my European Team members.

Leather ladies...
I've been working on some new designs lately, with the leather scraps,
I like them a lot :-)
I found some lovely leather, very soft and easy to cut, I do have a love for cutting, it seems (remember the cutted paper tea- and coffeepots?)
I have ideas for other shapes of flowers, so more designs will come!
I combined with silver chain and silver finished findings.
And soon, I hope to make the silver findings myself, as I am attending silver smith classes!
Some of these 'leather ladies' are already in my shop.
and for my Belgian readers:
Oktober wordt een drukke maand!

Be different
I just ordered some cards at Vistaprint.
They were for free, only the shipping had to be paid. Unluckily I mashed up some things and I ordered too much, which meant that I had to pay more!
It's a tricky website, you order something and when you check out, you get directed to other possibilies,... before you know it, youorder things you aren't aware of!
hm,... will not tell you the whole story, I hope they allow me to cancel some things that were in my shopping cart before I knew!
What I wanted to show is this picture, I made some postcards of it to send with my sold orders.
Last weekend I discovered a hydrangea tree in my mothers garden, with some beautiful flowers, I took a little branch and made pics of it yesterday. The flowers have so nice texture and color!
I like the result!!!
I thought it was fun to show you some designs that were my very first sales in my Etsy shops: necklaces and earrings with my beloved hydrangea flowers. See the pictures here below:
Do you remember my 'be different card' of last year?

A new idea for a felted necklace comes in my mind while looking at these beautiful tones!
In the meantime I created a ring in the same colortones, my entry for the EST challenge with the theme 'life on Mars' hosted by Serpentaires.

Inspired by a custom order....
A few weeks ago a sweet lady asked me to make a necklace to go with her beautiful lavender-lilac shirt.
She had a crush for my stone necklaces with the copper rings. And it had to include some purple.
I mostly make rather short necklaces in that style, but on this shirt it was obvious that a longer one would be better.
I am very happy with the result: an assymetric necklace with coral stones, I big purple crazy lace agate stone and the very warm and beautiful Bayong wood.
It's true that a custom order inspires you to do things you otherwise shouldn't, in this case making this longer lenght.
They really have something special and chic being so long, so I was inspired to make some more for my Etsy Shop (click on the pictures to go to the shop).

Time for another Friday Night outfit. A bit dark this time, a bit mysterious, why not? :-)
Oh, how I wish this dress and these accessories were already in my wardrobe!
Ok, I admit, the days are getting colder, but I bet the black dress would look lovely combined with a crocheted shrug. find some awesome shrugs here.
I love boots, and that is what I like a lot in autumn and winter: the wearing of boots!
I got this International Shoe Size Conversion Charts from Mitsy aka Artmind (another shoes addict) to make it easy to shop your shoe size online.

Flickr Favorites in ebony
Hop over to Artminds blog to find more Flickr favs!
Did you notice that Ebony Lady is back in my shop?
I started with the collection in October last year and I still love the design.
The beautiful black combines so beautiful with lively colors!
Most of the designs are one of a kind as I work with flowers that are rare to find. I like it like that, repeating is so boring to me!
The materials are gemstones, glass, cinnabar, corozo and enameled copper.
I don't use plastic.
You can find the pieces below in my shop.
Want to know more about the beautiful ebony wood?
Ebony is one of the most intensely black woods known, which, combined with its very high density fine texture, and ability to polish very smoothly, has made it very valuable as an ornamental wood.
Did you know (because of it high density) that ebony wood is the only wood who not floats on water, but sinks! The best-known ebony may be that from Diospyros ebenum, native to southern India and Sri Lanka. Ebony has a long history of use, with carved pieces having been found in Ancient Egyptian tombs.By the end of the 16th century, fine cabinets for the luxury trade were made of ebony in Antwerp. (bas-relief), Within a short time, such cabinets were also being made in Paris, by ébénistes, which remains the French term for a cabinetmaker.Nowadays it is used for instrument making like piano's and guitar plectrums.

Oh my deer!!
I got a lovely package today, haha, I should really start a brooch collection,
(well, is there anything I collect not?).
(well, is there anything I collect not?).
I bought this deer brooch on Etsy from this lovely shop!, She has some great designs!
I found this pin years ago on a flea market in France, I think I only paid 1 Euro :-)
I bought this fawn in Maastricht in a very cute polkadot shop : 'De sprookjeskamer'. If you live not far from there, keep an eye on their webiste, they give great creative workshops, and are also on the hunt for people who can give workshops.!

You can also shop their cute stuff online.
We still are the proud owners (LOL)of an oldfashioned video recorder, and now that everyone throws away their cassettes, you can buy them for almost nothing (à,50 euro).
Did you know that the movie 'Bambi' made by by Walt Disney is based on the book 'Bambi, ein Leben im Walde' (1923) by Austrian- Hongarian author Felix Salten.
My kids are fond of it, and so am I!
