inpakken en wegwezen - wrap it up

eindelijk is mijn nieuwe Japanse Washi tape gearriveerd,

wrap it up

sooner or later...

echt

In a previous life
I made lots of them
Flyers!
(for exhibitions, cultural events etc...)
it's such a waste
that they have such a short life:
thrown away
when the event is over!

There is a smart way
to give them a second life
use a part of them
to pimp your packages!

in this case
I used a part of a flyer with a beautiful picture
of the Great Wave of Japanese artist Hokusai.
and combined it with golden wire (i bought in the sales) and recycled paper.

inspiring nature finds

can't help myself
a walk is not a walk
when I
haven't gathered
gorgeous nature finds
I found on my way

back home
I tried
something new
a white background...
It suits me :-)

These textures and colors
look very tempting
and inspire me
So I unburried my polymer clay stock
and maybe I'll try
to make some beads
inspired
by these finds.
I will post you soon
with the results ;-)

t'is sterker dan mezelf
als ik dingen
vind
met een mooi vorm of kleur
dan moeten die mee
naar huis
een boswandeling
is geen boswandeling geweest
zonder vondsten

het is niet mijn gewoonte
maar
heb het toch gedaan:
fotograferen op een witte achtergrond
bevalt me wel

Forest Finds

can't help it

those simple things
you find
along the roads

I love
the shades
the colors
the textures
the forms

just can't do a walk
without
gathering
all sort
of inspiring
beautiful
nature finds

and what's so funny
also
my kids
are thrifters too
LOL!
(what is nature, what is nurture? ;-)

inspiration

A few weeks ago
I got
a beautiful plant
from a friend
Gosh! what an amazing pods it gives!

really
sometimes
inspiration
is right there
on the kitchen shelf...

I found the same warm saturated colortones in this pair of earrings:
Lilac and Dew, sterling silver hoops
