my creative workspace tutorial jewelry display

today
my workspace
is all about
preparing my booth
for the next fair I attend

A while ago
I found this
great tutorial

on the blog
of an EST friend.

A brilliant idea to display
the button rings I made
lately!

I used:
- some cheap isolation tubes
(the smallest ones)
- a shelf from the ikea molger series
I once bought to hang in the bathroom, but now it's destiny changed (lol!)
- an old white blanket

I know...
I should have ironed
the blanket parts
but well
I am not a good housewife I guess , LOL!

pimped or not...

The child in me
enjoyed
matching
sorting
pairing
the beauties
I found this morning

I think
it's time
for a little
customer survey...
These buttons are so irresistable
that I just have to make rings or earstuds with them!
but I was wondering:
what do you prefer? (for a ring or earstud)
just the plain buttons
or the pimped ones (picture above)

Thanks so much for your vote!

Be my Button - thrifted treasures

Look
what I found
this morning
on the flea market at Sint Jacobs
in Gent
a floral cookie box:
I fell in love right away
with the picture of
the daisy-rose bouquet in a clod of straw, with a skyblue clouded background lol;-),
so very very old fashioned, I love it!

But look
what was inside:

Vintage buttons!!
in beautiful designs and colors tones of blue, cobalt, moss, teal, olive, mustard...
me l!kes!

off to create with them!

Big in Japan

Op een rommelmarkt
een
Alain Grée
boekje gescoord,
voor maar
20 cent!!

in Japan Geraakt?

I scored
this beautiful Alain Grée book
on a flea market
for only 20 eurocent ;)
not the normal price
as you see here.

Unbelievable how popular these books (wich I grew up with) are now in Japan !

Happy Stats

you must have seen them around
in blogland
the weekly
happy stats
I think
Mamutopia
was the first to start with them.

I decided to give it a try too,

it's always good
to reflect on the good things!

Little things that made me happy last week:

- a very happy Mies at her new (special) school
- Mr Janssens bringing me a pack of Shortbread (Walkers) from London (which I emptied right away)
- starting my second year of goldsmithclasses
- my new red shoes (I already danced with them!)
- enjoying a beautiful concert of Wim Mertens (lots of sweet memories popped up)
- having 267 Fans on my Facebook page! (you can be a fan too!)

My Friday Night Outfit

Dress by NathalieAngles (see previous blogpost)
Petites Roses by Fleurfatale
seashells clutch in Navy by Eightseasons
peep toe electric blue heels by Italianpostcards

it's been a while
but here I am back
with
my friday Night outfit...

in fact
this fridaynight
we stay home
enjoying a cosy night on the couch with the kids!
with the kids

Mr Janssens and I already had our evening out
yesterday eve
we attended a fabulous concert of Wim Mertens (english)

we attended
a concert of Wim Mertens too,
Mr Janssens and I knew each other then for just a couple of months...:-)
(at that time Mr Janssens was a huge fan of minimalistic music, and still :-))

Struggle for Pleasure

is Wim Mertens most known song in Belgium
(recentely it was used in a commercial, so every TV looking Belgian must know the song, ;-)

Open door

mijn blog
brandde op een laag pitje
de voorbije dagen
...
ik was druk bezig
...
want vandaag starten
de opendeurdagen bij Nathalie Engels (Onderbergen Gent)
en ook een nieuwe lading (Fleurfatale) oorhangertjes en halskettingen zijn er te kijk en te keur !

forgive me
the quietness
on my blog lately...

I was busy
creating new jewelry
for the shop of Nathalie Engels in Gent.
It's hard for me to resist her beautiful collection
every time I pop in at her shop :-)
Nathalie has her very own style and colorchoices,
completely my taste ;-)
I am very happy to create for her some according jewelry pieces!
