Snow in France, Italy, Norway, ....still not in Belgium.
But it is cold, not freezing but really cold.
I definitely need a scarf and where else do I find such a beauties as on Etsy!

My cup of tea...

It's time to go ahead with my teapot cards collection,
I draw the teapots myself and cut them out of a mix of all sorts of papers I gathered trough the years (vintage wallpaper, japanse washi, handpainted papers...) I use also some gorgeous stamps on Etsy in this shop. of Norahjane.
This is a little sneak preview,
and then back to my worktable,
I will list them soon in my shop.

Silk Diva

My Silk Diva necklace is quite popular in my shop,
one of them was even featured in a saturday shopping list of this blog (guess what: it sold on monday :-))

It's a pleasure making them, felting balls, making silk beads and then finding the ultimate color combination or even combining with stone, precious stone or seed pods.

Can't help it, it's just me liking to work with different materials, mixing and matching,
I can't stuck to one material, one technique, one discipline...
Quite tiring...
Wearing the necklace is a pleasure too, I guess (in fact I know, because I have one for myself)
the felt choker makes it so very lightweight, you just aren't aware of wearing a necklace.
(watch out when you're gonna take a shower!) :-))
Some of the pieces above are available in my shop.

paper (felt) flower tutorial

A while ago I found this tutorial somewhere, chaotic as I am , I don't find back where I found it (so if someone knows, give me a comment!)
It's a great idea to make these flowers as embellishments for Christmas packaging.
I am thinking of trying with different sorts of papers: vintage wallpapers, handmade papers, maybe also fused plastic and cardboard. I tried with felt (I made two spirals that I stiched together) and finished it with some embroidery,
doesn't it ook like a brooch now?

Lately I've been working on creations with sterling silver,
I am so stuck to copper (I like the warm color of it), but people keep asking me if I don't have hooks in sterling silver, they like my creations but can't wear the copper because of some allergic reactions, so,ther we go, and there is more to come in my shop.

I am attending a fair end of november and I am working like crazy to have more stuff, since I sold a lot in Bruges this weekend,...
More cats this time , not one of them is the same since I don't work with a dummy (a piece of cardboard), They are formed by hand, always a big surprise how they turn out, ..
Giving them names is the most fun part of the job!
I am working on other animals too,but that's for another blogpost!
(Amélie found already a cosy place in my shop, but is ssurely looking for a new home!)

Rose & Thunder

What a man should give to his woman'
Mijn Rose and Thunder necklace is het resultaat.
The thema for the European Challenge this week was: 'What a man should give to his woman' .
Curated by Swedishjewels, one of the few 'guys' we have in our team :-)
The result is my Rose and Thunder necklace.
I combined a gorgeous textured jasper stone with coral beads and a copper hoop.
Well, my man should give it to me, if it weren't for sale in my shop, haha!
The two other necklaces were made for my Exposition in Bruges about which I will blog later.
