My creative workspace has the color Verdigris

I am so much into Verdigris lately, I could paint everything into Verdigris! :-)
(Verdigris creatures in Copenhagen)

(find my new verdigris creations in my shop)

But what exactly is Verdigris?: Verdigris is the common name for the green coating or patina formed when copper, brass or bronze is weathered and exposed to air or seawater over a period of time.

The name Verdigris comes from the Middle English vertegrez, from the Old French verte grez, an alteration of vert-de-Grèce ("green of Greece"). The modern French spelling of this word is vert-de-gris. Since it was used as a pigment in paintings and other art objects (as green color), it was required by artists in Greece. (Notice that my Verdigris is a bit more turquoise then green)

If you had told me , twenty years ago, I would have 4 kids at my 40th. I would have thought you were joking.
I never planned to have a bunch of kids! But it just went that way.
After we found out that it was not so easy to have kids of our own, we decided to adopt (and God how I love these girls). All of a sudden (well...) I was pregnant, unprepared!
The first moment I was not ready for a third child, I was so happy with the two girls and that was enough for me, but when the pregnancy proceeded, I began to like the idea of three kids, and when I heard it would be a third daughter I was excited!
I must admit, when I gave birth to a daughter with Downsyndrome, my world collapsed.
But it was hubby who made me see that we had nothing to lose and that life (and happiness) did not stop by having a daughter with handicap. And I thought: why not go for a 4th child, and less the a year later I gave birth to a boy!
and here I am : mother of four!
aren't they lovely : my kids!

My flowers on earth day

The new theme for this weeks EST-challenge (hosted by Karuski) is 'my flowers'.

I just could not skip this one. :-)

As you all know today is 'earth day' so I had to repurpose, restyle or recycle something into something new!

I hurried to the flee market shop and found a beautiful light blue suede skirt , also a pair of matte gold trousers(!) and an old table cloth, don't know wich material, but a beautiful texture! I also brought two old leather bags.

I want to repurpose it all to new textile jewlery designs! You'll see!

and this is the first : La fleur bleue a silver plated bracelet with a handmade suede flower. Perfect for this weeks challenge! (and good for the earth) and available in my shop.
You can find the other entries for this challenge on Karuskis blog.

A brooch a day!

Now the weather is getting better, I can wear my steel blue coat again, The fun with that jacket is, that it matches with all my brooches! It's wonderful , but it's true, I can go out every other day pimped with another brooch :-))) But, don't worry, I am sure my brooches match with other cool jackets too :-) Flower up your day and find them in my shop. in the section 'pin your jacket or tote'

Just check my SALE section. I am also trying to improve my pictures as the photography is so important on Etsy, first of all, to catch the eye, but also to show the creation exactly how it is in real life, not easy, but a challenge! I am always chasing for new ideas and accessories to presents my creations on,
