(en zoals ik hier al zei, daar heb ik heel wat van in huis!)

toveren we de knopen om
tot een mooi handsieraad ;-)
én ze staan al in de shop!

that this beautiful golden color matches perfect
with turquoise and steel blue,
so I assembled some flowers with old buttons to new button rings!

Flowers for spring!

een tijdje geleden
bestelde
een bloglezeres
een ring in leatherscraps,
(het was geleden van vorig voorjaar
dat ik er nog één maakte,
deze winter heb ik me op de broches gestort!)

kort daarna
nog een bestellingske
en
ja
eens ik op dreef ben,....
ik heb er meteen een aantal geknipt
in frisse felle
lente en zomerkleurtjes,
nu hier in mijn shop!
It was a while ago
I made some leather scrap blossom rings,
(i think from spring last year!)
but a few weeks ago

a blogreader ordered one
and I refound the joy
of cutting leather scraps
and assembling
the pieces colorfull leather
into flowers

the flower rings are here in my shop right now

Noordt is opgericht door Kathleen Opdenacker en Marietje De Koster, die al jaren in de wijk Antwerpen-Noord wonen, een oude volksbuurt waar meer dan 130 nationaliteiten naast elkaar wonen. Met hun creaties blazen ze nieuw leven in oude spullen.
Net zo geloven ze dat dit met hun buurt gebeurt als er maar genoeg mensen geloven in het potentieel. De buurt heeft veel te bieden: in de talrijke stoffenwinkels, falinghallen en veilinghuizen vinden ze de grondstoffen voor hun project. Aan de basis van ieder ontwerp ligt steeds een vondst en dan volgt de rest bijna vanzelf.

I found this
great tutorial

A brilliant idea to display
the button rings I made
lately!


I used:
- some cheap isolation tubes
(the smallest ones)
- a shelf from the ikea molger series
I once bought to hang in the bathroom, but now it's destiny changed (lol!)
- an old white blanket

I know...
I should have ironed
the blanket parts
but well
I am not a good housewife I guess , LOL!

so I took my scissors
cutted perfect rounds
measured them into silver plated medaillons
covered them with a strong resin
and pimped them with flowers(what else for a bee?)

result:

for a cool project.

it's time to reveal!

Millie, the talented girl behind the Kudzu Webshop had the brilliant idea to launch a webshop with jewelry made out of natural, recycled or recycable materials, a collection that contributes to a better environment. Millie and her partner are convinced (and so am I )that ecological and recycled stuff is not boring and that there are lots of alternatives for poluting products and that there ar lots of ways to save energy.
